Starting a new Deviant Art account

I'm moving to a new account under the name JeremyShane. I figured it's time for me to start working under my real name better sooner than later (and my mom would be proud I'm sure, lol). Hopefully anyone that has fav'ed anything or put me under watch will watch me there.

A lot going on around here

I am trying to work on taking more pictures. Anyone checking my gallery has seen I have added several belly dance shots to it. I have been shooting a belly dance troupe and will probably get more good pictures added to them. But I hope to focus on other types of shots as well. I have several people that have asked me to do shots of them, and when I get the chance; I will travel around town for opportunities as well.

But right now, I am staying pretty busy between work and trying to move. Not that my camera equipment is packed away too far, but just haven't had the time to work on stuff yet.

Happy New Year everyone, I hope your christmas and new years celebrations were as much fun as mine.

As for this year as far as DA is concerned, my resolutions are:

Take more pictures.
I need to keep expanding my gallery not only with more pictures, but more variety.

Spend more time in the forum.
This is a community afterall, I need to socialize a bit more.

Comment more.
I have been doing this the past week, adding more favs, watches and comments, need to keep building this coming year.

I love all kinds of music. I know everyone says that, but you'd be surprised what you'd find on my iPod. Anyways, I just came across a band that was new to me and thought there stuff was pretty cool. Worth checking out... They are called Shiny Toy Guns. Kind of a dancy, techno-y, rock thing; sort of like the Killers maybe.

I really need to find more things to take pictures of...

As I get through these holidays (I work retail, so it's always fun at xmas) I've also been dealing with interviewing and traveling for a job out of town on my days off and talking about splitting with my wife. I didn't get the job I was after, which really doesn't matter to me with everything else going on. It did make christmas interesting though.

Talking about this kind of stuff is weird for me though, that's why if you see my blog on myspace, there aren't very many that deal with me talking about certain personal things.

I did get a Canan 30D about a month ago, I have yet to use it still though. Plus I need to buy some lenses and a flash and more for it. I need to though, because I find more and more that when I'm taking pics and reviewing them, I can get lost in it and not let all the other crap bother me.
